The product lineup
Sky Advanced is mostly focused on the manufacturing of multiaxial carbon fabrics. This straight layup material – otherwise called as non-crimp fabric – is not only extremely versatile both in terms of use cases and processes but it has very high load bearing capacities. Multiaxial fabrics have superior flex fatigue to woven preforms in specific applications, and unlike conventional materials, knitted structures can be designed and developed for load bearing in a particular direction, hence the majority of boat builders, construction engineering companies, wind turbine builders and many more consider the usage of such materials.
Multiaxial fabrics are very versatile as they can vary in weight (g/m2) and their properties can also be reinforced by modifying the structure and material composition.
